My interview with  Mariam Kamel after one year and half from attending the parenting classes

What attracted you to the Hand in Hand parenting tools ?

I was not convinced with the way we use to raise our children, the reward and punishment tools. Nobody wanted to be punished when we were young and we felt awful about it

I was searching for a different perspective that can help me to approach the problems I face with my children in a positive way

What was the benefit of Hand in Hand tools on you as a mother?

1- The classes helped to be understanding mother, now I know why my children behave badly , why they don’t listen.

2- The classes supported me to manage my expectation as a mother , as sometimes we are angry because of our expectation from our children not because of their behavior.

3- I became a more patient mother and considered my children slow pace which affected them positively.

4- It helped me to be a thinking mother and mindful person in general as we all judge our children/people and  thus we react, when we stop judging, this can definitely improve our reaction towards others positively

5- I really liked the class format, and the instructor support it boosted my energy and I felt energised to deal positively with my children
